Plug In Baby: Chapter TwoCHAPTER TWO - TASHA
It was Monday morning, first day back at school after break, early. I was running on the school track, getting my morning training done before class. I was in sweats because it was too cold to wear my track uniform. The thermometer on my watch showed that it was nearly ten degrees Fahrenheit below zero. It was a week since the incident with Mr. Jameson in Port Angeles and already the teacher had been suspended pending investigation. I had a new (old) car and though it needed a lot of work it had more than enough potential. My car was found in a dam, completely written off of course. I didn't really mind. It was about time I got a new ride anyway.
I listened to the rhythm of my shoes hitting the track, taking refuge from my hectic life in the one thing that remained routine. I was starting Senior year so everything was busy, busy, busy. I always had another job to do.
I was disappointed that the party hadn't been able to go ahead. I needed Sapphire about to ac

I was alone again, hanging out with myself in Port Angeles. I had made the drive to meet up with my best friend, Sapphire Churchill, but she'd called just ten minutes ago to tell me she was sick and couldn't come. I didn't really mind being alone. It was with more than a little trepidation that I watched him darting from place to place, snarling and hissing, locked into a deadly dance with someone I'd hoped to never see again, let alone watch him fight. I was scared, simply put, but not for me I wasn't that kind of person. I was worried that he would get hurt, or worse, killed. If I lost him, I didn't want to know what would happen to me, but my mind kept playing out the scenario, and to be perfectly honest I was terrified that it would actually happen.
They were circling one another, like two predators trying to determine who was bigger and stronger, but there was something in their eyes that suggested they both intended to fight. Each was waiting for the other to attack. He was protecting me, just like the other eight, but he had insisted that this was his fight. None of the others were about to run in and help him, but I knew they would never let me die at the hands of his opponent, the one being
